VOLUNTEERING

2024 CANADIAN XCO AND XCC Championships

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Canadian Championships for mountain bike in Kentville, NS.

We cannot host this event without support from volunteers such as yourself! We have a variety of volunteer tasks needed throughout the weekend from marshalling the race course in the woods to helping with timing at the finish line. If you are interested in volunteering please fill out the form below and we will contact you further to discuss what types of tasks you are interested in helping with and what times you prefer.

Thank you for supporting mountain bike racing in Nova Scotia!

  • Greeter - Welcome spectators and participants to event. Direct people to where to park and give directions on event locations.
  • Course Marshall - Stationed around the race course (in the woods), these course Marshalls ensure riders are going the correct direction, help direct spectators, and report back to headquarters if a problem with a participant or course arrises.
  • Road Marshall - Stationed on the race course where it crosses the road, these course Marshalls ensure no cars sneak onto the course, ensure riders are going the correct direction, help direct spectators, and report back to headquarters if a problem arrises.
  • Party Biking Championships - Help organize riders for some fun bicycle challenges such as the longest skid and most epic wheelie.
  • Timing Chip Collectors - These volunteers will help at the finish line, collecting the timing devices from racers once they cross the finish line.
  • Event Set up / Clean Up - Help with tasks such as course building, fencing, signage and more.
