The Gorge has long been a staple on the race circuit in Nova Scotia with the first races being held there back in the mid 90's. After taking a few seasons off during the early 2000’s racing returned to the site in 2007 and has been going strong ever since.

First developed as a park in 1930, The Gorge was previously known as the Kentville Participark before formally changing it’s name in recent years to reflect the name given to it by the riders who starting building trails there in the early 1990’s.

Located just two kilometres from downtown Kentville and only one hour from Halifax, The Gorge is one of the most accessible trail networks in the province. Parking, site maps, a picnic shelter, skills park and bike repair station greet you as you enter the park off the main trailhead on Gladys Porter Drive. The Gorge is a welcoming and user friendly site!

Widely regarded as one of the most challenging courses on the Bicycle Nova Scotia mountain bike race calendar, The Gorge offers up a healthy dose of technical riding with steep climbs, rough descents, plenty of roots, rocks and good times!
